GENERAL

I would like to buy an item that is no longer on the site, what can I do?

If an item is no longer on the site, it usually means that it is no longer available or that we have sold out. However, we may have it in our studio or store, so email us at bonjour@valetdepique.fr and we'll take a look for you!

Does Valet de Pique offer a warranty?

We are convinced of the quality of our products. If a problem occurs, we will repair it free of charge and cover shipping costs within one year of purchase. Simply send an explanation of the problem, photos and your address to bonjour@valetdepique.fr and we will send you a return shipping label.

SHIPPING

What is the average delivery time for an item?

The majority of our shipments are sent by post. Delivery times vary between 2 to 3 days depending on the region. We also offer expedited shipping options from La Poste, DHL or UPS.

In order not to overproduce, some products are made to order, so delivery is guaranteed within 15 days. See the product delivery section for more information!

For international shipments, can you change the value of the item to zero on the label so that I don't have to pay customs fees?

We cannot reduce the value of the item to help you avoid customs fees. We know that shipping overseas can be ridiculously expensive at times, but we certainly can't pay the fines or jail terms that come with international mail fraud.

What is the shipping policy at Valet de Pique ?

Most orders will be processed and shipped the same day, but please allow 1 to 2 business days for processing (allow longer processing time for custom items and hand-stitched items).

Will I be able to track the shipment of my order?

Once we have entered payment for your order, we will print a shipping label and the tracking number will be automatically assigned and emailed to you.

BAGS

I'm interested in a custom bag design, is that an option?

Unfortunately, our shop is not yet able to take custom bag orders.

I ordered a custom design 2 days ago, why hasn't it been shipped?

Many items in our line can be customized. When these orders are placed, it can take one to ten days for them to be customized. Once your order is complete, you will be notified that it is on its way! If a problem occurs, we will contact you by email to keep you informed of the status of your order.

LEATHER

How can I clean my leather product without damaging it?

For cleaning leather, we recommend applying moisturizing milk. A very light application with a lint-free cloth (such as an old T-shirt) is ideal. Valet de pique will not reimburse any damage caused by cleaning or maintaining your product.

I've heard that leather ages, takes on a patina, and changes over time, is this true?

It's absolutely true! With time and prolonged use, the leather will change and take on the characteristics of suede in the areas where the bag is most often handled. Also, keep in mind that some colour transfer is normal.

Can you tell me a little bit about the leather you use at Valet de Pique ?

We use many different manufacturers, but all of our leathers are cowhide unless otherwise stated on the product page. Our leathers are vegetable tanned.

My new leather product has marks that look like scratches, is this normal ?

In spite of serious quality control, the hide may show some natural marks. These include cuts and marks that the cow may have received during her lifetime.
