The leathers we use for our products are carefully selected from the best Spanish, French and Italian tanneries.

How to take care of your leather bag?

To prevent leather from drying out, cracking or discoloring unevenly, try to protect it from direct heat and sunlight for prolonged periods.

Step 1: Remove impurities and dust Using a soft cloth, wipe the surface and every corner of the leather of your bag.

Step 2: Apply nourishing beeswax-based milk Using a clean cloth, apply the milk delicately and in a single, very thin layer to make it penetrate well. This step helps protect your leather bag against drying out as well as nourishing and waterproofing it.

Step 3: Polish the leather piece

After application, let the leather rest for a few moments then buff it using a soft, clean cloth.

HOW DOES CUSTOMIZATION WORK?

To make your piece even more unique, we suggest you add a text, a quote, initials, a first or last name, a date... to your piece of leather goods.

1 - Add your text in the space provided: 'Personalization'

Read again carefully.

Please note: the larger your message, the smaller the text will be.

For accessories: maximum 10 characters.

For bags and pouches: maximum 100 characters.

2 - Your text is then engraved by our craftsmen on your piece using laser engraving

The laser burns the leather very lightly, your text will always be black/brown.

No, as surprising as it may seem, the handbag weighs 0.4kg. It is therefore within the standards of handbags.

Is the Colette handbag waterproof?

The leather handbag is water resistant, if it rains, your belongings will be protected from humidity. However, we recommend that you apply nourishing milk (with beeswax) three times a year to strengthen the waterproofing of the leather.

Is the Colette handbag comfortable?

The shoulder strap is entirely made of leather, it is 1.5 cm wide. It is possible to adjust it. The handbag can be worn cross-body, or on the shoulder it will align perfectly with your silhouette.

What leather is used?

Our wish is to have the lowest environmental impact, while ensuring the longest longevity of the handbag. The leather comes from a family-owned Spanish tannery. This full-grain cowhide leather is robust and will develop a patina over time. It is vegetable tanned. The leather used will not fade on your white shirts, dresses or t-shirts. The handbag is available in black leather, camel leather (Honey) and brown leather (Chocolate), yellow (saffron), green (fir) and red.

Does the leather handbag have a pocket?

Yes, a flat pocket inside. You can very easily slip in your cell phone, keys or anything else. This pocket is made of softer leather for easier access.

The buckle is the central point of the handbag, we wanted it to be elegant and comfortable. In reference to the Jack; traditional leatherwork tools for holding two pieces of leather, and the awl tool for spreading the leather to allow the seam to pass through.
